When Did He Stop Treating You Like A Princess?

When did he stop treating you like a princess?

Domestic violence and abuse can happen to anyone, but the vast majority of victims are young girls and women simply because they are “the weaker sex”.
Did you know:
  • On average, 2 women a week are killed by a current or former male partner. This constitutes nearly 40% of all female homicide victims.
  • 45% of women are abused/raped by current husbands or partners, 9% by former partners, and a further 29% of perpetrators were otherwise known to the victim. Only 17% are attacked by by strangers.
  • 44% of victims of domestic violence are involved in more than one incident. A large number of women experience the same abuse every week.
  • On average, a woman is assaulted 35 times before her first call to the police.
  • 30% of domestic violence either starts or will intensify during pregnancy.
  • In almost 75% of incidents, a child is present or in a room closeby.
THIS HAS GOT TO STOP. IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY.
It’s time to show the world that we are not weak and we will simply not stand for this kind of ill treatment. Women should be treated as princesses, like Ariel and Cinderella, who never have to live in fear of their so-called Prince Charming.
It’s time to stand up. To speak out. To be heard.

    1. The statistics are really unsettling. With this being a spanking community, I really felt that someone might benefit from it

  4. Hi Blondie, it is awful what some women have to go through. My own mother suffered verbal?mental abuse through her marriage to my father and she unknowingly chose illness as an escape. She has been mentally unstable ever since. Sometimes help can never be reached

    1. That is the sad truth. So sorry about your mom. There wasn't so much help then as there is now. Thanks for sharing

  5. This is very good info, Blondie!! I've often said that ttwd is very very fun and loving but in the hands of the wrong people... Could be dangerous!

I think it's also important to have a safe word- even if you never have to use it and you have the most trust in your loving man. One might get a foot cramp or ... Anything. If your partner does not stop at a safe word please take a good look at what you have in front of you!

Very sad and scary statistics! Very important numbers. Thanks for sharing this Blondie. Many hugs,

    <3 Katie

    1. Safe words are very important, even if one thinks that they wouldn't need it. A foot cramp is a great example. Unfortunately, safe words won't work in the above situations. If someone who is in the DD (whatever you want to call it), I pray that they are in a healthy one and not an abusive one.

  6. Hey Blondie, I've had a daughter in this situation and I understand the cycle all too well. Thanks for putting this out there. It's hard to be on the sidelines and trying to get the person to see what's happening. Sometimes just getting the practical information out there is all you can do. That and PRAY!

    1. I am praying like crazy for those women who are in these situations. And I know that there are even men in these situations, it's just not as common and the numbers aren't as factual because men don't want to admit the abuse. Share the information and know what you can and can't do to help someone. And then pray. Just like you said
