Any Ideas or Suggestions

What to do when you need an attitude adjustment and there is no privacy?

We are always looking for new implements, that are quiet.

Yes, we make great paddles but they are not quiet. Believe me they do get used when the house is empty.

So what do you suggest?

Okay, have to admit it, I am afraid of the cane. Does your bottom always look like this afterwards?

I don't want to be in so much pain days later, healing from the bruises and the blood.  A fun or attitude spanking shouldn't be felt weeks later in my opinion (hubby agrees too)

And if we do go with a cane, how do you choose the right one?

If there is some other kind of quiet implement, let me know. We are in the middle of winter around here and the kids seem to be home all the time!

  1. OH I want answers for this too please! That is of course if I ever need an attitude adjustment. Highly unlikely but you know...* wink *

  2. Canes do not need to leave you bruised and bloody...but they will leave you well spanked. I find a arm up helps....trying to think which of our toys is the quietest....we usually have an empty house..one of the rewards of getting older!

    1. I can't imagine so many people using canes if they are as dreadful as I think. Yeah, yeah, are you trying to make me jealous. I sometimes can't even an empty house. It seems so far away.

  3. Ever tried a "silent" spanking? With Capcaisin cream? I know it's not the same, but it's a decent alternative when there's no privacy. Other than that, the only quiet implement i've felt is the damn cane lol

    1. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate that cream. When it accidently fell into the trash can, I did not take it out and never have I ever missed it since. Lol.
Attitude spankings, for us, are kind of like maintenance to others. And that cream would not be helpful with my attitude. It's the closeness that comes with the spanking that I need/want.
      So the damn cane, hmmmm.

  4. When we were in Germany, DH would grab my ass cheeks really hard and just hold it while talking to me, well mostly just raising his eye brows. Totally worked.

    1. That would definitely get my attention and change my behavior. That's a good idea.

  5. Ooh nooo that picture of cane marks would freak me right out. Mitch uses the cane but nowhere near to this severity. And actually, it's not 'that' quiet as other implements.
I see the comment above about the cream....... you do know about this cream right? :)

    1. So I may be freaking out about the cane unnecessarily? There are other implements that are quieter?
HATE the cream. It actually left a rash behind in it's wake.

  6. I've never looked like that after Michael has used the cane. He's never broken the skin with it. I do usually have some marks afterward, but never blood and rarely bruising. It's all in how it's used, lighter strokes or harder ones and the positioning too, if the skin it stretched taut or not. For quieter implements we have the cane and a loopy johnny. While the implements themselves are quieter however, I often am not.

    1. Marks are normal for me whenever I get spanked with anything. I have that easy bruising skin. I wouldn't expect to be too quiet with the cane. So what kind of cane do you have. Long, short, thick, thin? Any advice?

    2. Michael purchased our cane from cane-iac. It's a basic rattan cane, straight, that is without the curved handle. Unfortunately, he wasn't being very careful with it one time and broke it (not on me), but now he just uses it otk or standing closer to me (obviously holding it where it broke, not using that end of it on me). He's talked about ordering another one and trying other kinds, but thankfully he has yet to follow through on that! I will say that I actually prefer the cane over some of our other implements.

I will also second PK's suggestion of using the loopy johnny over jeans. Ours is plenty ouchy enough over jeans, much less on bare skin.

  7. I have had a few light marks with the cane but nothing like that, but I cant't take much. The loopy Johnny is quiet, but you won't be! It very painful - how ever, if he would agree to use either of them over jeans that might be a good compromise. I think you will feel well spanked but no worry about cuts or blood. I also like Brats idea about the Capcaisin cream, perhaps a combination of the two?

    Good luck,
    PK

    1. Okay PK, I took your advice with the matt, and well I hate to admit it but it was a good idea. Jeans idea is a good idea. At least we can start out there and see how it goes. So smart. NO CREAM

  8. Never had bruises or broken skin from a cane, some marks yes. The cane is the quietest implement we have. P has one for OTK. The cream sounds possibly.

    2. Blondie,

Cane-Iac has some similar to the one P has. http://www.caneiac.com/items/OTK~Items/list.htm

He also uses a garden cane (you know the sort that you can tie to a plant to hold it straight.

  9. Back away from that EVIL cream Blondie! The cane, used correctly, over clothing will not break the skin and will be fairly quiet. Good luck!

  10. I haven't had bruises from the cane, which surprised me because I bruise very easily. Like Grace said, it's all in how it's used. When Steve uses it, it usually leaves a pretty impressive red stripe and stings like the dickens, but usually fades by the next day.

Another option is a plastic hanger. Like the cane, it packs a sting and can leave a red mark, but I've never bruised from it either.

Of course whether you will be quiet is a whole different story. When we have to be quiet, we turn on the tv and I bury my face in a pillow.

    1. Dana, I can't imagine being quiet when being spanked. I always try my hardest but, thank goodness for pillows. Well I guess my husband can learn to use the can correctly. I saw some advice on caniacs site. He has used a plastic hanger but for some reason we don't use it much. I really don't know why. Thanks for your imput

  11. I remember when the cream hit the trash can. Good place for it - it's EVIL as Cat says. I've not had the cane but there are those that sing its praises. We have tried a switch, it's quiet but boy does it sting and burn. Don't recommend that either. I think PK's idea of "over clothing" may be the ticket.

That second picture really turns me off.

    1. I think the whole idea of something going swish and then the sting as it hits freaks me out. But goodness, it is hard having any privacy. And the aftercare and connection just isn't the same without a spanking of some sort, lol.

  12. See my thing has always been that no matter how quiet the implement, I can't keep quiet! I used to be able to and now I just can't! But, if you can, there are alternative methods, not even involving spanking, but other submission exercises. Don't know how detailed you wanna get here but think about what makes you quiet and submissive, and have him put you there.

    1. I am pretty sure what you are talking about and yes, we have a few of those little methods available. But it is the spanko inside me. Muffling my screams is a lot easier than muffling the sound that the hand or the paddle makes. Our house is just too small. Me - submissive, my husband is laughing.

  13. Forget the whole cane idea - how about a feather? A flogger made of wet noodles? Seriously, I'm sorry I don't have a bright idea other than soundproofing your bedroom like we did! Best investment ever!

    1. I can't talk him into soundproofing the bedroom. It really isn't an option with this house. Definitely the next house though. You are such my non spanko friend, the feather and wet noodles. Now those are good ideas when I am in trouble, actually great ideas. He always seems to find a way to get those spankings in (darn van rides). But trouble is not what I tend to need spankings for.

  14. We got one of these:
    http://www.amazon.com/Conditioner-Marpac-formerly-Sleepmate-980A/dp/B000KUHFGM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1357620670&sr=8-1&keywords=noise+machine

We have that on in the boys' room, and we run a fan on high in our room pointed at the door until we can soundproof properly. It really works! Daddy's signature implement is the wooden hairbrush - it's used every spanking, we've used all kinds of wood and leather and the boys have never stirred at all.

I know when we first got it I was changing linens in their room and it was quiet, when I came out they were having wrestlemania in the living room, thumping and yelling and I never heard a peep with the machine on & the door closed.

    1. That looks like an awesome idea. And it really works??? I am going to show that to my husband. It might do the trick.
I hate the hairbrush. That is the implement that he uses when we have to go "on a ride" to take care of the spanking. The hairbrush just stays in the van. He prefers the paddles that he has made and the shower brush. And there is always Bertha, the lexan paddle.
      Thanks for the tip

    2. Sure does - like a charm. The boys are generally light sleepers, but they don't hear a thing and he's used paddles, the brush, straps, his belt...not a creature stirs, lol.

The hairbrush makes me want to squirm, certainly not my favorite, but ... can't describe exactly... it has meaning, it makes some kind of special point or connection, or something, and he is Daddy, so I do my best to submit gracefully.

  15. Hi we have never used a cane I'm really scared of it. He really wants one but thank god hasn't ordered one yet. What we do have which is very quite is a crop. It's different to the ones I have seen before. It's made out of fibreglass and is covered with some flexible material looks like plastic rope. The end of the crop is removable ( you know the little stingy bit which hangs of it) he has removed it and uses it like a cane. It's really flexible so have to be careful as it can wrap around the sides. It's extremely quite but oh so evil. I hate it. It stings like hell and leaves little red welts but they are gone by the next day but you can feel it for a day when you sit. It's only used for big offenses or repeat ones. You can buy them from amazon in the proper horse department lol. I wouldn't recommend it though I like the idea of a feather or the wet noodles lol. Good luck

  18. I think it's really more about how an implement is used than anything else. Cane-like implements maybe have the potential to leave bruises more easily than implements that have a greater surface area, but it's not that bad if it is used carefully. If I ever ended up looking like the chick in the pic above...I don't think my husband would ever spank me again lol! We occasionally use a tilt wand as a silent implement and he was super careful with it at first until he figured out how to make it hurt without being harmful. And like others have said - be warned! just because the implement is quiet, doesn't mean YOU will be;)

    1. Tess, I don't know what a tilt wand is but I will go and google it. We have never used a cane because of pictures like the one I posted. My husband wouldn't be able to spank with it if I was left marked like that. And I have learned how to use a pillow to muffle my screams. Believe me, I have screamed so loud (okay during a scary movie) that I made the dogs in the neighborhood bark. True story

    2. A tilt wand is that long plastic thing that hangs down the side of venetian blinds that lets you direct the slats up or down. It's lightweight and swishy, rather cane-like.

    1. I am laughing right now. You are too funny. You should see us when we go on van rides. He will be spanking with that darn hair brush and I am trying not to scream. He is telling me to stay quiet and it makes me want to say things that will only get me into more trouble. Sometimes I start laughing in the middle and he has actually laughed with me. I can't imagine anyone not crying out when getting spanked.

  20. We have never tried a cane here, but there is one thing that's pretty silent and it could use a good home.. I tried to send it to willie, but she said no...

    My rubber ruler!!!

It's quiet and doesn't eat much... there is a pink one or blue.... They are almost silent, makes a small little smacking sound that TV can usually cover up.. but man does it smart!

    1. I remember you telling us about that. I looked for one, one time and never did find it. My old friend Sarah and I were trying to pull one over on her husband. I was trying to find the same one as hers (and yours) so I could take a picture of it with it being in my dogs mouth. We were blaming my dog for taking the ruler. I could only find one that was similar in color but not in texture. But he didn't believe us anyway. Didn't believe that my dog could just magically fly from one coast to the other to steal the ruler. Lol

  21. Oh Blondie this topic is so timely. We have exactly the same problem as you and it just stinks. We have used the cane lightly and it is pretty quiet. We are going to try our loopy johnny like grace said. It really stings but it is quiet. We have got to find a way to spank with kids in the house though because they seem to be here all the time.

I have thought about noise machines and fans but teenagers never seem to want to go to sleep so we are often asleep before them. I think very early in the morning may have to be the way we go.

I am absolutely in the EVIL CREAM camp. We tried it once and I hated it. Lasted way longer than a spanking would. The biggest problem was that there was no connection there and that was the part I hated the most. I sooo agree with you.

    2. Too bad we weren't neighbors, I could send my kids to your house and then you can send them all back to mine. Problem taken care of. My teens are the same way, they stay up later than we do. I think that they would sleep through anything, if we did it in the morning but with our luck, one would wake up to use the bathroom and we would get caught.
We could start a Evil Cream Camp group. Good idea. We could try to get it banned internationally. Lol
You hit the mark when you talked about the connection. That is what makes the spanking worth while.
I have heard really bad stuff about the loopy thingy but never have tried it personally. Hmmm

  22. It depends somewhat on where you live, but if you are in a reasonably rural environment, have you thought about going outside and cutting a few switches? They are definitely in the swish-sting family of implements, but they would be pretty quite (and inexpensive!). Also, the selection and cutting makes a great couples activity - your husband doing the selection, and you cutting them and bringing them home. Anticipation! If you stick with smaller switches, you should have no problems with marks.

  24. Okay, I guess we will just not even worry about trying the loopy thingy. Thanks Susie.

  25. The loopy johnny is almost noiseless...but you sure won't be.

Same with the tilt wand from blinds...you can get them super-cheap at your local Home Depot or wherever.

I know this sounds horrifying, but an electric cable or extension cord also works and is quiet (it's basically like a poor man's loopy johnny).

  26. Ana, there are so many quiet implements but they all seem to hurt really bad. Maybe I should return to Christina's idea about using a feather. Actually I am passing on all of this new information to my husband. Let him decide what he wants to do. Thanks for the information. I really needed some direction here.
