An excerpt from something I read about the flogger:

Different material
The canes I see on line are usually made of acrylic, delrin, and rattan. There are different dimensions, different lengths, soaked, raw, etc.
Crops leather,Most of the floggers I see are made of leather. But the leather has different widths, different number of strips, braided, cat o nine. What are good started ones to use, or ones for erotic, or pain, help.
Crops are something I really know nothing about.
Now the cane and the flogger I have heard similar stories about. The pain and the pleasure. The letting go and just feeling and trusting.

We have the bamboo/stick thing that is used for punishment. But when I read about the sensual play with all three of them, it kind of makes me tingly but who knows, I may hate all of it.
DeleteI love the flogger, it's a wonderful mix of things. I have two of Conina's delicious rope ones. When P strokes it with me, between the legs, across my bottom, it is soft, gentle and like a massage. He can hit gently or hard, but the pain is never severe. The knots sting, the rope thuds, I like the contrast. The flogger makes me drift off and the connection to P is there, more tangible than other implements.
ReplyDeleteWe have a crop, it has a long tongue, textured on one side, leather on the other. It stings, hurts when smacked on the same spot, great for targeting breasts and other sensitive areas. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I struggle.
I don't have a cane. I thought about it and bottled out. Tori is somebody I know who likes the cane.

DeleteI love sensation play, wish it would happen more often. As anyone who reads me probable know,,,,,when given a choice, flogger is at the top of my list. Those rope ones you pictured look delish! Master's is a large leather one. It can be slowly swished all over by body, lightly tapped, used with different intensities. It is the easiest for me to relax and let go...float away...with the flogger. Even when Master give me a hard flogging, it feels like all the...tension is being pushed out of my body.
ReplyDeleteMaster has a couple crops. My favorite is one that is quite flexible and has a small hand shape at the end. When used lightly it can reach many interesting places....pussy spanks with it are amazing. He has another one that is more stiff and square on the end.....i find that one to be more severe.
Master's can is wood....light wood....it is not a toy i would ever ask for. For me, the best part of the cane is when it is over...and the welts are a reminder that last for a day or two. Good for when i am going to be traveling.
My most favorite for sensation play is the little pinwheel. It is a medical instrument...inexpensive...and can be used all over the body with varying sensation. I would put it at the top of my must have list.

DeleteI keep thinking I want to try that pinwheel and forget until someone mentions it again. We have a flogger, a soft suede one and a stiffer leather one - love the sensation of both, Ronnie gifted PK with two canes and she thought she should share. Have to tell you although I always hated the thought it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, of course, it wasn't punishment - that probably would make for an entirely different experience. Never experienced the crop, but I do love the doggin bat, hated the wand or whatever the heck it's called - it's demonic.

I want pleasurable pain, like I get with spankings. The flogger and crop just sound tempting. I have never been interested in a crop before but now I am curious. And Conina's flogger is wonderful but I think that one with a little more sting would be good. Rogue has recommended the dggin bat but I haven't checked into it yet, I keep forgetting what it is called (I know, why can't I remember doggin bat?) The want has always been something I have been curious about but I have never seem one being sold. I will have to go and ask more about the canes though.

Crops and canes; my wife both loves and hates them. Loves the sharp, intense pain that is at the extreme end of the "stingy" rating.
ReplyDeleteHates them because they are so hard to use properly...they look so easy to just whap away but the reality is that the spanker needs to be very careful and precise to ensure that the stripes are well placed and even. This will prevent the real possibility for tissue damage (bruises may look good, but are a sign of tissue damage that if repeated too often may cause permanent damage)
My only advise is that if you and Ty want to try canes, go for it....but remember
Purchase the best quality possible to prevent splitting or fraying
Ty will need to practice first...I used a pillow
Never use a cane when the spanker is angry or for punishment, the chances of something going wrong are just too great
Lots and lots of feedback; he can't get it right unless you tell him what is working and what is not

DeleteOh do you give good advice. I know with the longer paddles and with the belt, Ty has had to learn to make even strokes. Yes, trial and error my bottom has suffered through but it is worth it now. You sound like a good caring man like my husband. Communication is very important. Sometimes I use my safe color words just to let him know that I am not ouching but hurting.

I love the flogger! It's only used for play here. Something wonderful about being bound and blindfolded and having it used all over my body. Ours is much like the one you have pictured. The sensation is wonderful! We got rid of the crop as it wasn't something I enjoyed for play and it wasn't something Luke wanted to use for discipline. We haven't gotten a cane at this point.

In 50 shades, there is a scene where he also put headphones with loud music on her, taking away another sense, I can only imagine how intense the pleasure is then. We have tried to make the headphone work but being as were are just not too up to date with technology, we will have to figure how to do it. So no crop or cane, you have/use just what we do. DeleteWell we have several canes, lexan, delrin and rattan. I can see how some may enjoy the sting if not used in a punishment fashion. Just a normal 'strike' stings for a few minutes but doesn't generally last ( watch the tip though). HOWEVER in a punishment situation, especially let's say on the thighs....you will hover over the toilet seat for DAYS....DAYS I tell you!
ReplyDeleteI suppose a crop is fine for play, like others have mentioned. I know when we used it, or tried to as a reset thing it was more frustrating than anything no umph. I don't even know where ours is to be honest. The same can be said about the flogger. I had a 'friend' suggest Barney make his own out of raw hide strips with knots it them. It doesn't hurt at the start, but boy does it sting/burn/itch after a few seconds.

I have one which really has no impact at all (especially since it has only been taken out of the box and used twice), but is relaxing and I like the idea of it - I think I would enjoy another type of flogger that has a little more bite - as I love sensation of different kinds of touch. I would love to know what kind to get someday so I will look forward to reading everyone's thoughts above... Hugs
