Well it is official, my baby is ten today. He will always be my baby, no matter how old he gets, because he is the youngest of my children. Both my husband and myself were the second to the youngest and we swore our youngest would not be the typical baby of the family. But it happened anyway. He is so cute that all of us just dote on him.
We let him just be young and innocent. He has no pressures to get straight A's or to be the best on his sports teams. He is simply wonderful the way he is. And his little comments are so original. He has a little of each of us in him yet he is uniquely him. I have enjoyed his childhood more than the others, probably because there was not a younger sibling demanding my attention. He is just fun to be around. I am glad that he is growing up and is healthy and happy. Yet I mourn the sloppy kisses and great big hug.
What a lovely post. You should save it and give it to him when he gets older - he will love having the memento even if he doesn't let you know.

It's amazing how one moment in time they are brand new and then before you notice, they are celebrating their double digit birthday! Sounds like an awesome young man you both have raised!
