Me, Psycho Bitch?
Yep, that is how I have been lately. I have also been so emotional that when I am not bitching, then I am crying, or faking it. If you know me, calling me a psycho bitch is like calling me a rock star. Yeah, not happening.
And if anyone even thinks that it might be menopause, well you better not say that in your comment. I may lash out at you or start crying.
No, it is a change of medicine. One of the medications I use for my depression. About four weeks ago, my psychiatrist suggested that if I try this new medication, it might be more helpful. So over about a weeks time, I slowly stopped taking one and began the new one.
And then it happened, all hell broke loose...... I think that Ty wouldn't even spank me for my sharp tongue or for throwing a bag of trail mix at him. He was afraid that I might, I don't know, lash out at him. So, he slept with one eye open, knowing that I had access to all of the paddles and I wasn't afraid to use them. So the spankings kind of weren't happening.
But there was also the sad, very sad, crying my heart out sad. Probably more painful for Ty to watch then for me to bite his head off. So what did I do, knowing that all of this was going on? Nope, I didn't call the doctor. I disobeyed not only Ty but ignored my common sense. I went down on the dosage of the new pill. See I worked in a pharmacy when I was sixteen, as a cashier, so I know all about how to deal with medicines. Right? (don't burst my bubble)
And the drop did help some. I wasn't as nauseous and instead of being dizzy I was only light headed. The other issues did not change. So what did I do? Come on, you know what I did....... nothing.
My appointment was this morning. At one point, in the last couple of days, I kind of yelled at Ty that he was so "overly" concerned with me, then he should take off from work and go in with me. And Ty did. Once again, the psycho bitch got me in trouble. Ty told me that he was going to be honest with the doctor, tell him everything that had been going on with my moods, etc. He thinks that I might not be telling my doctor everything. Someone, and not me, was wrong. My doctor had all kinds of notes about what I had shared and how I felt. My brain works perfectly fine when not negatively drugged. The doctor talked about the Serotonins, situational depression, etc. And Ty was pleased that I had been telling him and my doctor all that was going on.
End result: change of medicine again, go off the new one and back onto the old one. Now aren't you all glad that I haven't been commenting on your blog posts? You could never predict what I might say.
And even though this thing with my medication is something serious, I am writing about it kind of tongue in cheek. Laughter is the best medicine.

Blondie, I hope the new meds are so much better. I'm sorry you've had to deal with that and so glad that Ty was there for you. Lots of prayers that you're feeling much better soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your prayers. I would ask that you pray for Ty though. His smart ass comments may put him in the dog house and the dog house would be in our neighbors yard! I am pretty confident that my sanity will return, hopefully sooner rather than later.
DeleteUGH...I hope these meds help you.....being out of control is an awful feeling.....thanks for sharing, you never know you have helped...

Thanks. It is actually kind soothing to write about this. I sat down and wrote the longest post in the history of blog land. Then I went back and deleted all of the tangents that I had gone off on. But it helps me to write it out. If I helped anyone, besides myself, then I am glad that I actually posted and not deleted the entire post.
DeleteBlondie - you are always welcome in my world. I totally get where you are coming from, ok? And I've missed you. Finding the right medication with minimal side effects is a hard journey sometimes. But once you land there, it's good. I'm glad that Ty was right there with you - understanding that spankings would not be the right thing to do at that time - and even went to your doctors appt with you. He did good by you. I really hope that you'll be feeling better as soon as possible.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Cali
I have to tell you, Ty read most of the comments on this post and was feeling pretty good about himself. I told him that it was all a bunch of horse shit, that you all don't know the real him. But he is still gloating. He better not get too full of himself, I am not afraid to use the paddles on him. Oops, I guess that wasn't real nice but it was nicer than I thought.
DeleteI am a strong believer in having the correct prescriptions. Why I didn't say anything sooner, who knows. Probably didn't do it because it really made Ty mad. See it's all his fault. (I kind of smiling when I write this, kind of)
Hey Sweet Blondie...don't care what mood you're in...you can comment on my blog anytime you want. Hope your meds get straightened out soon so that you feel better. Sending lots of prayers and positive energy.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings...

Your blog always makes me giggle so it's hard to say anything. I did feel bad about the comment I left on one post where I said that I knew it was to good to be true. Not too rude but not my regular comment only. Thanks for being my friend and for all the prayers and positive energy. The evil side of me thought about making a dinner using wheat. Lol
DeleteHi Blondie, I'm so sorry you went through that, I really feel for you. I'm so glad Ty was there for you and that he was at your side at the doctors. Sending positive thoughts and prayers that things even out for you.

Thank you for your hugs and kind words. You are a good friend. But Ty was not being very nice to me. He wanted to tattle on me and tell the doctor how crazy I had been acting. We had a few words and I finally told him that I put up with him because I am a mental masochist. But he thinks that he was being cautious and was taking care of me. Like I can't take care of myself? I think I better go and find my happy pills before I text him back. He sends me texts telling me he loves me. Geez!
DeleteHi Blondie
ReplyDeleteI haven't commented before, but just want to say I'm another with the same issues. And it's very brave to talk about them. And helpful. Thank you. Here's hoping the step back to the old medicine helps a LOT.
Blackbird
Thank you so much for commenting. You cannot believe how good it makes me feel to know that I am not alone. It helps me to write it all out. Lucky for everyone that reads, I do cut out the tangents that I go off on. Believe me, the support I receive from my blog friends has helped me with me fight my depression so much. I always feel so alone and I am afraid to talk to my every day friends because I know that they would judge me. Even if I say that the reason I am so emotional is a medicine change (and they don't even know what my medicine is for), I feel judged. Blog land is my safe place. I hope that you come back and read and comment any time. I need to hear from friends like you who understand. I do hope the medicine situation returns to somewhat normal. I have to be careful to make it clear to my psychiatrist that it may situational, like my dad being ill, that is making me feel more depressed and not that I need to change my meds. At least that is what I think. Seasonal and situational are really hard for me. Thanks again for commenting
DeleteHi Blondie, oh I am so sorry that you have had to go through all this. Bloody doctors , changing stuff at will, it's always us that have to deal with the crap. Feel free to comment however you like on my blog, If I don't like it I will blame the tablets!! I hope you can get on a more even keel before the Christmas season starts. Thinking of you
ReplyDeletelove Jan,xx
Thanks Jan. You are right, bloody doctors, changing our medicine! How rude! You are very brave giving me the okay to comment. Rightnow, I am doing okay but I am about to lose it because of the stupid medial and insurance stuff and this time it is for one of my kids. Mooma Bear mad is worse than momma being psycho. Thanks for your support
DeleteWell for what it is worth, I didn't find you any of those things in PRINT at least! I hope you return to a zone where you are comfortable in your own skin soon~ and Ty can rest a little more easily *wink*
ReplyDeleteLove ya!

See, when I type, I have a little time to filter what I am saying, not so when I am raging and spewing venom at Ty. A little filter is better than none. And remember who made those paddles, so if he wakes up with a paddle hitting his head, it's only because I am trying to knock some sense into him. I texted him yesterday and thanked him for coming with me. And then I said "isn't it nice to know that I am sane when I am not insane". He got all caught up on double negatives and that stuff that he didn't even appreciate my humor. Poor man
DeleteHi Blondie,
ReplyDeleteI hope the new medication works better for you. And you can comment on my blog...any time...I will be there with open arms and a hug every time, psycho bitch or not :-)
Thanks Terps, I will take you up on your offer of hugs when I sneak over to your blog to comment. Maybe a hug would help me be calm. When Ty tries, I usually end up all emotional and crying.
DeleteBlondie, what a rollercoaster you've been on. Umm, you know this but I'm going to say it anyway. Don't adjust meds on your own!!! My daughter tried that in college and it was disastrous. Don't want to sound like I know all this but she has had to make peace with the idea that when things are off for her and when it comes to meds she needs outside input, she can't make those decisions because she's not a place where she's thinking clearly. I'm so glad Ty took the time to go with you to your appointment! Maybe you need to let him take care of you more when meds need to be adjusted. Go ahead, you can read this and yell at your computer! You can even call me names if you want. Asking for extra help isn't a weakness it's a strength! I hope you're feeling yourself soon!
ReplyDeleteSending hugs, Clara
Thanks for the motherly advice because you are right. It is really difficult to force yourself to take a pill that you know is really messing you up. But you know you can't stop taking because that could be even worse. Every night when I took that pill it was a real battle of wills. When I knew that I was going to be changing prescriptions, I let everyone in the house know that Mom was going to be a little emotional and to just know that I am/will be okay as soon as the medicine works right.
DeleteAnd I only yelled once at the computer so far.
Blondie,
ReplyDeleteI think it would have been fun to read comments from you at that time:) Seriously, Sorry you had to go through this but hope going back on the old meds is the right step.
Love,
Ronnie
xx
I have been trying to come up with some kind of witty reply. But all to no avail. See sometimes I am not snarky I am just not thinking (sometimes it is easier that way). You never know, I still might comment while in psycho mood.
DeleteWe're here no matter what. Blondie, we may not all be on medication (although we probably should be) but there isn't one of us, male or female, who hasn't been there at one time or another, for whatever reason. Glad you were able to straighten out the medication situation and hope things are better now.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Like I have said before, I really appreciate your opinion and your caring spirit. I told my doctor last time I saw him, that I was tired of this depression, he told me if it wasn't for the medicine that I would probably be locked up somewhere. He did laugh, thought it was funny but it also put into perspective what all my medication does do for me.
DeleteUgh so sorry you had to go through that-but glad you are back on the old one since that seems to be better for you-I am also glad you were able to show Ty that you had been honest with the Dr-I am sure that felt good!
ReplyDeleteI had to be on some medication at one point when we were doing fertility treatments that I called rage pills because I felt like I was ready to explode all the time & I didn't call the the dr to let him know either-I just waited for my appt....not really the best choice but I think we may both have learned that huh?
Hope there are other meds to try if the old one is good but not really good enough.
Love,
Scarlet ; )
Yay! It is nice to know that I am not the only one who makes such wonderful "not really" decisions about our medication. Believe me, the last two nights that I didn't have to swallow that pill, that I knew was messing me up, have been great. I am feeling better but I still might have some anger issues when it comes to my dear and loving husband who keeps trying to study and diagnose me. Thanks for making me feel better
DeleteDang, sorry you've had such a rough time, Blondie. I hope things are getting better now.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, this will all be just a forgotten memory someday. Thank you so much for your kind words. My next few posts have got to be on a happier note. Something has got to give. Any ideas
Deletei think youre awesome for sharing that. And i'm glad things are taking a turn for the better. Hope u feel like ur old self soon!
ReplyDeleteWell, well, my old friend has returned to commenting again. Oh, shoot, that was kind of sarcastic. Actually it is really nice to see you around. I always have enjoyed your comments and support. Can I tell Ty you said I was awesome, about the same time I am refusing to do his laundry since I didn't wear his clothes. Lol
DeleteI'm with Leigh for a change. LOL. Some of use could use some too. You are welcome to leave any kind of comment on my blog, anytime Blonde. Changing medicine is such a hectic period. My wife tells me stories sometimes I think wow, that a change of medication can have such an impact! So, what I love about you is your attitude. And of course you were always honest to the doc, what else Blonde?
ReplyDeleteI admire you,
Han
Yeah, what else would I be? I can't be there for my family if I don't take care of myself. I do not discuss this part of my life either to my friends in regular life. I am more honest with who I am here than anywhere else. And it is so awesome to have this support group. I like your wife more and more. One of these days we are going to get her blogging and get to meet the other half. Thanks for caring and believing
DeleteBlondie,
ReplyDeleteI really hope you start to feel better soon, I know it must be so frustrating finding what meds work and what ones don't. it's really not fair, and I'm sorry. Sending you a big cyber hug! I'm so glad you have a place to vent and share, it's so nice to have a place that you can be honest and open. Try to be kind to yourself right now, better days are ahead..promise.
Hugs
From your lips to God's ears. Lol Just not taking the new medicine has helped my frame of mine. I am almost giddy over that. It has been so hard to swallow the pill that is affecting me so horribly. Thanks so much for the cyber hug, I really needed that.
