If I stood on the counter I would probably hit my head on the light fixture. I think that she was counting her list backwards, so mom was really the best.
Awesome!! Great and powerful afirmations! However standing on the sink may not be the best idea! I happen to know someone who broke her elbow that way! LOL
Let's do it. We will see who falls off first and who laughs the loudest. Lol Thanks for missing me ;-). I am one of those people who like to hear that someone noticed my absence. It's good from my self esteem. Especially since the reasons that I haven't been around do not always acknowledge my existence unless they are hungry, need a ride or want to borrow some money.
I wish I had that kind of energy, but I do love my.. husband, child, mom, dad, siblings, house, pets, my pajamas, and whatever else she said that I can't remember already. I love her energy and her curls. The nurse in me does cringe at the counter top dancing. I've just seen too many results of serious head injuries, etc. You can't rerun the film once the child falls and cracks her skull. God bless you and yours, Belle L.
I wish I had that kind of energy. Maybe I could sit in front of mirror and do that skit from Saturday Night Live, "I'm good enough, I'm nice enough and gosh darn I like myself" I already broke my head when I was a little girl, fell out of a tree and landed on my head. Cracked it from one ear all the way across my head to the other ear. I wasn't wearing a helmet......
When I opened this post and saw the still photo, that mom place in my head reached to grab her off the counter! My daughter has hair exactly like that, and climbed everything at that age. Yikes!!!
Daily affirmations cheered at oneself in the mirror... I've read this is widely recommended by therapists, life coaches, etc. It's a lot like visualization in sports and other activities. Very beneficial. However, D would think I lost my mind if he caught me bellowing at myself in the mirror. Seriously, I'm imagining his reaction and laughing so hard I'm crying! Maybe I'll do it tomorrow and give him a good laugh - or scare - or not!
What's with standing on the counter? All you moms out there are noticing that. Lol How else is she supposed to see herself in the mirror? I would love for you to do your daily affirmations and see what kind of reaction you get. Tape it for us, especially your husband's reaction
It's that ear-splitting shriek that happens after the fall and continues in piercing wails and gasping sobs that only cease after all the boo-boos have been repaired and kissed away. I heard it far too many times NOT to have that initial gut reaction! Hang a full length mirror on the door, for Pete's sake!
No doing or taping daily affirmations for husbands - they are of the "ex-" variety. D appreciates hearing my affirmation of my feelings for him, just has a hard time believing it from one day to the next - especially if we hit a bump. I don't holler them at him, though - hmm, maybe I should?!! Lol!
The standing on the counter again......... Okay for all of us over three feet tall, no standing and dancing on the counter. All affirmations must be with your feet on the ground (except when you are jumping) and is to be done in front of a full size mirror. Also, like your mom first!
For some reason, this video makes me think of you. I picture this as your morning routine, maybe not on the counter but jumping up and down on your bed (when you are supposed to making it),
Oh, I haven't seen that video in a while, so cute. :) She is adorable, and is a great reminder to think that all we already have is great and to be thankful for it. :)
Are you going to stand on the counter to do it too?
ReplyDeleteI 'like' how her Mom is like 10th on the list of likes...LOL. Typical!

DeleteBlondie! Nice to see you. :) What a cute video.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kenzie, it's been awhile since I have been around. Working on my motivation. Lol

ReplyDeleteWould we know the person who broke their elbow that way? Okay, no standing on the counter and I am not sure if I can dance like her either
DeleteHilarious! I totally think you should stand on the counter...I may join you! I have missed you! Glad you're back!

DeleteGreat idea for all. Only I don't have a counter. Only a pedestal sink. Perhaps I could get a really cool step stool :)
ReplyDeleteJust don't stand on your pedestal sink. Maybe we could invest in a full length mirror than we can keep our feet on the floor.
DeleteThanks for sharing Blondie...don't think I'll try standing on the counter but can definitely stand in front of it! ;)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Cat
Awwww Cat, come on you can join me and Cole on the counter - three silly women dancing on the counter, one fell off and the other two laughed.....

This is awesome Blondie, what a great way to start the day! Perhaps minus standing on the counter. Thanks for sharing :)

DeleteLOL Blondie!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI've seen this before and it makes me smile every time! What an enthusiastic little girl! Thanks for sharing and many hugs,
<3 Katie
Thanks Katie, but you didn't share if you danced on the counter or if you did daily affirmations. I hope it's on the counter!
