Happy Mother's Day
This definitely is not what I am wishing for. for all of you. It is more based on how motherhood has been for me lately. Even though, I am truly blessed as a daughter recently, I am still feeling a little snarky. Motherhood is very challenging right now. So I have a tongue-in-cheek post.
My wish to all of you -
On any given day Blondie, children don't always appreciate just how wonderful their moms are - someday they will. The thing is we love them even if they make us crazy as loons. Happy Mothers Day to you and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
ReplyDeleteLove em....and wonder what gene pool they were spawned from....all in the same day. Mine are grown...and it is so much easier to appreciate them as the wonderful people they are....hang in there.

LOL Blondie...this post brings back many memories of years gone by with my boys...and they both survived their teen years! I agree with Sunny and Abby...especially Abby's first line. Happy Mother's day...sending lots of positive energy that tomorrow is a better day.

Happy Belated Mother's Day from me too! My oldest is 23, and "our" youngest is 7, and I STILL don't know how Julia does it every day :p. I loled at most of your pics, ha ha!

ReplyDeleteThe reason for all of the wonderful pictures you posted are because every woman that becomes a mother experiences very similar things....
Trying, mouthy, rude, snippy, "stop giving me attitude!" So says the child.... Testing every limit....
I asked my daughter when she was telling me all of the crazy things she did while being 17
"Did you just think to yourself hmmm mom would hate this, this goes against everything she taught me?"
She smiled and said "yes, I'm sorry mom"
I then said " it's ok I have my daughter back now and I love her all the more because I am proud of who she has become!"
Do not worry I know that is hard but they carry your life lessons with them even if they are setting out to go against them in the heat of the moment
Teenagers are designed that way it is Gods way of making us want them to move out and do their own thing and not feel to sad about it ;)
Many happy returns to you and as hard as it is they will come back to you wiser and grateful for you
